Frings is a German company with its own engineering, manufacturing and laboratory services and supplies fermenters, also called bioreactors, filters and other plant technology for bioprocessing. Laboratory plants, pilot plants and production scale plants are developed and marketed. For vinegar production, Frings builds Acetator-type vinegar fermenters and, for vinegar filtration, plants based on the cross-flow filtration principle. Core technologies for these systems include high-performance aerators with high gas-liquid mass transfer for fast vinegar fermentation and automation technology with an Alkosens-type alcohol probe. Like all Frings food plants, the ethanol to vinegar fermentation plants are state of the art in bioprocess engineering and automation technology.
Frings also supplies customized plants for yeast fermentation, fermented beverages and the fermentation of food additives.
For biotechnology, Frings supplies state-of-the-art bioprocess technologies for innovative processes and also supports its customers in the transfer of scale from the laboratory to industrial production (scale-up). Here, sterile plant engineering, mixing and gassing technology in the stirred reactor, media systems, filtration with membrane filter systems and also special systems in special plant engineering are our core competencies.
