PLANT DESCRIPTION

CLEARFLOW C filtration systems are specially designed for industries that require particularly easy-to-use and robust equipment.

CLEARFLOW C systems consist mainly of the following system components:

  • Polymer or ceramic filtration modules
  • Hollow fiber modules, tubular modules or wound modules
  • Pressure pump & circulation pump with frequency converter
  • Stainless steel grade of all materials: 1.4301, 1.4404 and 1.4571
  • Surfaces in contact with the product mill finished
  • Piping and fittings (e.g. in DIN 2463 or ISO 1124)
  • CIP unit
  • Compact frame to hold all pipes and aggregates
  • Prefilter units (optional)
  • Pressure control/regulation
  • Temperature control/regulation (optional)
  • Advanced sensor technology such as turbidity, conductivity, pH etc. (optional)
  • Central control unit with SIEMENS SPS and touch panel

FRINGS CLEARFLOW plants can be equipped with membrane modules with different flow properties, materials and selectivity (“cut off”)

Depending on selectivity and transmembrane pressure, the following processes can be realized with CLEARFLOW base modules:

  • Microfiltration MF
  • Ultrafiltration UF
  • Nanofiltraton NF

The process and equipment design is carried out in close cooperation with the customer. The basic process engineering tasks, material selection and the required selectivity are specified exactly and the design of the equipment is also supported by pilot tests. Depending on the application, short cut tests or special test series with the original media are carried out.

DIFFERENT DESIGN STANDARDS OF FRINGS MEMBRANE PLANTS:

  • CLEARFLOW P: Membrane plants for sterile technical processes in food and biotechnology
  • CLEARFLOW B: Membrane systems for hygienic processes especially in brewery, baker’s yeast and beverage applications
  • CLEARFLOW G: Systems with equipment and documentation according to GMP pharmaceutical standards
  • CLEARFLOW C: Membrane plants for chemical and environmental technology

DEGREE OF AUTOMATION

The degree of automation as well as the plant design are determined according to requirements and customer’s wishes and are implemented accordingly. Here the spectrum ranges from fully automated and CIP/SIP-capable filtration plants to manually operated versions.

Combinations of different processes with “dead end” and “cross flow” filters are also possible. We also supply multipurpose plants that can be equipped with different types of modules.

FRINGS plants can be combined and extended in such a way that MF, UF, NF, diafiltration, reverse osmosis and other water treatment steps can be realized in one process line.
