Standard and customized filtration solutions according to your individual needs

As early as 1978, FRINGS succeeded in the groundbreaking introduction of Micro-Crossflow-Filtration (MCF), specially adapted to the needs of vinegar production.

For the first time ever, it allowed continuous 24-hour operation and the elimination of consumables such as bentonite or diatomaceous earth, resulting in significantly higher safety and yield.

FRINGS supplies the right system for your vinegar production

Thanks to the large number of successfully delivered systems (several hundred are currently in operation), the experience gained so far and the resulting continuous improvements of the MCF plants, FRINGS is always able to offer you suitable systems.

From the filtration of small quantities of your specialty vinegar to the very large quantities used in the production of industrial vinegar.

CLEARFLOW – filtration solutions for every performance class

With the CLEARFLOW system, FRINGS offers you proven and extremely efficient filtration solutions in various performance classes.

The CLEARFLOW 04, 08 and 12 systems for large-scale industrial use filter 10,000 – 150,000 L of vinegar per day, depending on the size. They are equipped with 3 – 12 individually designed filtration modules.

Small but powerful!

For the automatic filtration of vinegar from smaller fermentation plants, CLEARFLOW systems types 01 and 02 with 1 or 2 modules are used.
The standard program is completed by the small CLEARFLOW-lab MF P01, a filter suitable for our PILOT ACETATOR F200/F300.

Special requirements require special solutions

In addition to the standard series, special systems with special requirements (according to customer specifications or based on extended filtration tests in our pilot plant) are available for special applications.

The superior plant design of FRINGS CLEARFLOW systems is characterized by a number of special features:

  • Automatic feeding of the raw vinegar
  • Filtration using a circulation tank
  • Integration of a CIP unit
  • Automatic monitoring for turbidity in the filtrate
  • Automatic transport of the filtrate to the corresponding storage tanks
  • Use of a SIEMENS-based filter automation

Some practical experience

Uninterrupted filtration cycles of up to 14 days are well documented. This is usually followed by a CIP cleaning cycle of approx. 3 – 4 h duration. Then the system is ready for use again. The average product losses are only 0.3% of the raw vinegar quantity to be filtered.

The daily operator effort covers a period of about 10 minutes!
