In SINGLE BASIN- AND SBR-plants a biological cleaning of the waste water is carried out by microorganisms (bacteria). This is a natural process as it takes place in every pond, lake or river. In activated sludge plants, however, the microorganisms involved are present in millions.
In order to maintain and increase the viability and activity of the microorganisms, the necessary amount of oxygen is artificially supplied.
In PROREACT T – environmental plants this is done by FRINGS SUBMERSIBLE AERATORS.
At the same time, it is necessary to circulate the waste water continuously so that the biomass produced does not settle to the bottom of the aeration tank and dies off due to lack of oxygen. This requirement is also guaranteed by the FRINGS AERATORS.
Depending on the requirements on the effluent quality and the corresponding conception of the plants, degradation rates of up to 99% are possible.
